Spheric

Pioneering premium lens for high precision optics from Tokai. Ideal for prescriptions above -/+6. Single vision.

  • The thinnest and lightest lens possible: high index 1.76
  • Super Power Shield (SPS) coating for advanced scratch resistance and anti-glare
  • Easy to clean
  • Hydrophobic (water repellent)
  • More natural vision field guaranteed by aspheric design technology
  • High transparency: 99%
  • Full protection against UV rays: UV400 nm
  • Includes 2 clear lenses

Aspheric lens options can further reduce thickness by creating a more complex lens surface which isn't completely round (i.e. spherical like a globe). Flatter curves are created which gradually change over the lens surface. This can be done on one side of the lens (Aspheric), or both sides of the lens (Double Aspheric) - the latter double option being the thinnest and lightest.

It could take up to 2-3 weeks to order, customise, fit and return your lenses.

The end result lens thickness of your fitted lenses will mainly depend on your prescription. The images shown on this page are just for demonstration purposes. You can learn more about estimating lens thickness here.

The fit of high prescription lenses is customised to you, and where your eyes sit in the frames. To create them, you need to provide us with your prescription and other measurements that you can only get when you're wearing the glasses frame that you are ordering the lenses for, and a professional has checked that they fit properly;

  • Monocular centration distance or ‘duel pupillary distance’
  • Monocular pupil heights
  • Pantoscopic tilt
  • Back vertex distances

What you need to do:

  • Buy your new Minus frames first, and take them to your eye test, after which ask your optician for support getting the above fitting checks and measurements.
  • If you don't need a full eye exam and your prescription is up-to-date, pop back into your optician and ask them for the fitting checks and measurements - it's likely they will help you out without any fuss. Or they may charge a small fee.
  • Come back to us, and order your lenses. We'll then send you details of how to post your frames back to us so we can complete the lens fitting.

For these reasons, we'll always fit the exact frames you send back to us that may have been tweaked already at your fitting.

Prescriptions need to be no more than 2 years old. And you need to be over 18 to order lenses online.
